Spray-In Bed Liners — Professional Application in Reno & Carson City

A spray-in liner is one of the most worthwhile things you can do for a truck you plan to keep and use. Done right, it protects the bed from impact, corrosion, UV damage, and chemical exposure, bonds permanently to the metal so it can't shift or trap moisture, and holds up for the life of the vehicle.

We apply spray-in liners in-house at both locations, using professional-grade products from two of the most respected names in the industry.

Our Products

PPG SPI FMJ — Reno Location

At our Reno shop on Kietzke Lane, we apply PPG SPI FMJ. FMJ is a high-solids polyurea liner engineered for extreme durability and flexibility. It's resistant to UV fading, chemical exposure, and impact, and it maintains its surface texture over time. PPG's SPI line is a professional-grade product used by serious shops across the country — not a consumer spray-can or a franchise liner kit.

Rhino Lining — Carson City Location

At our Carson City shop on S. Carson Street, we apply Rhino Lining. Rhino is one of the most recognized spray-in liner brands in the industry, with a long track record of performance on work trucks, commercial vehicles, and personal builds. Their polyurea formulations are tough, durable, and professionally applied.

What We Cover

Most customers opt for full bed interior coverage — floor, walls, and tailgate. We can also do floor-only applications for customers who want primary protection without full coverage. For commercial customers, we can also apply liner material to other surfaces: running boards, fender flares, rocker panels, and exterior surfaces that benefit from added protection. Ask us about the options for your specific truck.

The Application Process

We prep the bed surface before every application — cleaning, scuffing, and masking to protect the surrounding areas. The liner is sprayed in-house by trained applicators and cures to a permanent bond. Most applications are done in a day. We'll give you a specific timeline when you schedule.

Why Spray-In Over Drop-In

Drop-in liners are cheaper upfront, but they have real long-term downsides. They shift under load, can scuff the bed beneath them, and trap moisture between the liner and the metal, which accelerates corrosion. A spray-in liner bonds directly to the surface and eliminates all of those problems. For a truck you plan to use and keep, the spray-in is the better investment over a 5 to 10 year horizon.

Frequently Asked Questions

How long does a spray-in liner application take?

Most applications are done in a day. We'll confirm the specific timeline when you schedule.

Can I get a spray-in liner if my bed already has surface rust?

Mild surface rust can be treated before application. More significant rust damage needs to be addressed first. Come in and we'll look at the bed and tell you what's required.

Do you apply liner to surfaces other than the bed?

Yes. We can apply liner material to running boards, rocker panels, fender flares, and other exterior surfaces. It's a popular option for trucks that see a lot of trail use or harsh conditions.

Does a spray-in liner affect my tailgate's operation?

No. We mask and work around all hardware, seals, and mechanical components. Everything operates normally after the application.

Will the liner color fade over time?

Quality spray-in liners like PPG SPI FMJ and Rhino Lining are UV-resistant and engineered to maintain their appearance over time. Some minor fading can occur over many years on trucks in direct sun, but it's significantly less than with drop-in liners or cheaper spray products.
