Upgrade your bumper for protection, winch mounting, and style.
From tube-style pre-runners to full replacement heavy-duty bumpers.
Your factory bumper was designed to pass safety tests. A quality aftermarket bumper is designed to handle what Northern Nevada actually throws at you — highway wildlife, forest service roads, and the kind of off-road terrain that makes a winch mount worth every penny. Whether you're building a dedicated trail rig or just want something that looks tough and holds up to daily use, we carry the brands that have earned their reputations.
ARB has been building serious off-road equipment out of Australia for decades, and their bumpers are the benchmark for overlanding builds worldwide. The steel construction is heavy-duty without being unnecessarily bulky, and every ARB bumper is engineered around specific vehicle platforms — not one-size-fits-all. Most ARB front bumpers include integrated winch mounts, fog light cutouts, and recovery point provisions. If you're building a truck that needs to work as hard as it looks, ARB is where we start the conversation.
Fab Fours builds their bumpers in the USA and they're known for aggressive styling that doesn't sacrifice function. Their grille guards are particularly popular — they protect your front end without blocking airflow or sightlines. Fab Fours offers fitment for most major truck platforms and their finish quality holds up well in harsh conditions.
American Desert Designs (ADD) makes some of the cleanest-looking bumpers in the segment. Their Stealth Fighter and Bomber series keep a relatively low-profile appearance while still offering winch capability and solid recovery points. If you want capability without looking like you're building a prerunner, ADD is worth a look.
CBI is based in Twin Falls, Idaho, which means their products are designed with the same high-desert and mountain terrain that Northern Nevada riders deal with every day. Their aluminum construction keeps weight down without giving up strength — important when you're already adding a winch and accessory lighting to the front end.
Steel bumpers are heavier and more resistant to deformation from hard hits, which makes them the go-to for serious off-road use and winch recovery. The tradeoff is weight — a steel front bumper adds 80 to 150 pounds to your front axle, which affects handling and can require additional suspension work on some builds.
Aluminum bumpers have closed the gap significantly. Modern aluminum alloys handle trail impacts well, and the weight savings matter for towing capacity and fuel economy. For trucks that see pavement 90% of the time with occasional trail use, aluminum is a reasonable choice.
Our team can walk you through the tradeoffs for your specific truck, how you use it, and what else you're planning to add.
Bumper installation involves removing factory components, verifying fitment to your specific cab and bed configuration, and in many cases routing wiring for winches or auxiliary lights. We handle all of it at our Reno and Carson City shops. If you're adding a winch at the same time, we can install and wire both in the same appointment.
Not necessarily. Most bumpers are designed for stock ride height or allow for a range of lift heights. If you're planning a significant lift at the same time, it makes sense to coordinate both installs so we can verify clearances. We'll ask about your plans during the consultation.
Reputable bumper manufacturers design their products to work with factory safety systems. That said, installation matters. Our team ensures that all sensor locations, impact zones, and wiring are handled correctly during every install.
Most front bumper installs take two to four hours depending on the bumper, the vehicle, and whether we're adding a winch or lights at the same time. We'll give you a specific timeframe when you book.
